That poor guy in the poster. After studying at Bugis for the entire day, I went over to Cathay to catch this movie with my sis. I have been waiting ages for this movie, and it did not disappoint.

Damm. I could totally relate to the movie, drawing parallels every now and then. (Coincicentally my first M18 film.) The poor guy in the poster, evidently, got dumped by his girlfriend for another guy. (Surprise Surprise). Pete, the main character, then falls into a depression, breaking out into crying fits, screwing up his job and causing him to break down. Despite the begging and the pleading, she just walked out of his life. Ouch.
To escape this nightmare, he takes an impulsive trip to Hawaii to clear his head. The plot thickens when it turns out Sarah and her new flame are vacationing at the same resort. He completely breaks down at the sight of them together; seeing them embracing is more than he can bear. Trying to get away, he befriends several of the hotel staff, one of them being Rachel, the receptionist who just got out of a bad relationship herself. As he torments himself with the reality of Sarah's new life, he finds relief when talking with Rachel, whose laid-back approach tempts him to rejoin the world. As the days go on, he starts to remember the negative aspects of his old relationship. In fact, Sarah had been cheating on him for about a year.
However, as it turns out it was not solely's Sarah's fault; Peter hadn't been the best boyfriend.
After Sarah's new relationship goes south, she turns back to Peter. After a brief physical encounter Peter realises he now loves someone else and turns her away.

Happy Ending. Cue romantic music.
One of the best movies I have ever watched.

Next movie on my list: HOUSE BUNNY. HILARIOUS!!!!!
