I'm back!
For the first time in over two weeks, I can lounge around and do nothing without expecting to fall in at any moment.
Life at home is infinitely more peaceful than in Pasir Ris Camp.
No shouting. no obsceneities and no rushing around.
But that's not to say I don't enjoy my time in camp.
Due to the nature of the commando BMT, I end up meeting a very diverse spread of people, not just JC graduates. In my platoon alone, I have JC graduates, Poly diploma holders, Poly dropouts, O'level dropouts and even some from private Universities such as SIM.
At first, I found it a little tough to mix.
But after awhile, and going through all the shit together, I've made some really good friends and enjoy the company.
There are guys who walk around with no underwear on, prance around in just a bath towel.
There are guys who like to brag about their sexual prowess.
There are guys who took medical leave home to make out with their girlfriend.
There are guys who request help over every little minor thing.
There are guys who come over to every bunk challenging people push-up competitions.
I don't know if I can become a commando, especially given my weak knee.
But at the very least, I want to finish BMT with these guys.
Only in such specialised units can you meet such a diverse mix of people.
If not for commando BMT, I would never even have met them.
On another note.
I had a conversation with one of my female friends yesterday.
GUYS PAY ATTENTION.
You know how people say "its not the size, its the frequency that counts"?
Dead wrong.
Evidently its the size.
So for those guys who are erm... less endowed.. er.... too bad I guess.

Two years ago today.
Dammit.
