The next batch of enlistees are going to Tekong in less than a week.(And I'm joining them)
With the limited time left, I present a list of things to do before the dreaded "Enlistment Day"
- Lazy Morning. Wake up really really late. At least 11 or 12. You won't be have the chance soon.
- Hot Shower. Crank up the water to like 38 degrees and just stand underneath it for half an hour. Keep in mind that its the rainy season soon. So expect ice-cold water when bathing.
- Chill out on the couch. Army makes you miss the little things. Spend one night at home, with a bag of chips and other assorted snacks, just lie on the couch and watch some TV. Doesn't really matter what programme. Chill.
- A McDonalds Breakfast. McGirdle/Hotcakes.
- Stay out overnight in town. Soak up the ambience while you can.
- This will sound really crass, but guys should ogle while they still can. Confinement for two weeks plus can take take its toll on your psyche.
- Have a meal with your family. Too many of us don't treasure our family.
- Junk Food. Alot of it. By the end of the two weeks, you'll end up craving it.(First thing I did my first bookout was buy Kit Kat)
- Tell your parents you love them.
- Tell your girlfriend you love her.
- Drink some strong alcohol. Go for BMT with a hangover.
