Reccuperating At Home
Monday, 29 June 2009

As most of you would know, I've spent the past 2 1/2 days and home, supposedly "quarantined" to prevent any possible H1N1 outbreak. The medical officer's exact words were: " I'm going to give you 3 days MC. If you develop anymore symptoms call 993 immediately!"

MC's expiring and I have to be back in camp in a few hours time.
While at home, I've been reading up alot of forums regarding OCS.
Most of the forums go something like " How do I
get into OCS?" "Any tips on getting into the OCS?" "What are the requirements of being in OCS?"

Seriously. Come on.
Who really wants to be in OCS?
My bunkmate is trying all means to quit OCS, from talking to Sec Com, to PC, to the Wing Comm(Who is a Lieutenant Colonel by the way.) One guy in my section has already OOC on purpose.(He wanted SISPEC but the moment he got into OCS he revealed that he has a heart condition so he could get out temp downPES). Another one from my section is trying to OOC on medical grounds, saying he has a twisted backbone and doing x-rays.

Honestly, I'm not too keen on OCS either.
But they threw me here.
I have my previous knee injury. Anytime I want I can actually OOC from here, and get a temporary downPESx6 months inclusive of no running marching jumping for that duration.
So I have an escape option shining brightly.

To stay or to leave?
I know some out there would call me PUSSY for even considering as such.
Frankly, I don't give a shit.

I value my social life I value my friends I value my family.
I'm not willing to give them all up for 9 months and try to pick up the pieces after that.

So there.
