Left Right Front Back.
I have way way too many things to deal with right now.
I feel really really worn down by it.
Esepcially the fact that I haven't been able to reccuperate.
Not a single night's sleep hasn't been tempered by fear of a possible turnout or the thought of impending book in. I think the average weekend book out is somewhere around 24hours.
AND.
When you realise in that 24 hours you have to:
  1. Take transport to and fro camp(Almost two hours)
  2. Sleep(Chances are you didn't get much sleep that entire week)
  3. Equipment Maintenance.(Includes going out to buy equipment as well as cleaning, sharpening, oiling)
  4. Do Homework.(Like writing Journals)
  5. Do Laundry
  6. Pack everything nicely
That leaves one with about.... 12 hours, give or take an hour.
In that 12 hours you can:
  1. Go out with girlfriend
  2. Meet up with good friends
  3. Hold a class gathering
  4. Chill out with army friends
  5. Spend time with family
  6. Play computer games.
  7. Play Sports
  8. Critical Alone time.
How in the world does one divide 12 hours among all of that?
If you actually did, it would leave you with 1 1/2 hours for each activity.
And that 12 hours probably includes traveling to and from town which could take quite a while.

Slowly, you lose contact with this friend, then that friend, then another friend.
Who's left?

The stress has taken its toll, physical exhaustion still lingers from the previous day and worry over booking in and the coming activities influences your decisions.

"You wanna club?"
"Sorry I can't spend the night out. Er I have a camp next week."

"You wanna go wherever?"
"Nah, I'm spending time with my girlfriend today"

Keep it up.
Sooner or later your friends stop inviting you along.
Your girlfriend has her uni friends.
Who's left?

Probably why OCS builds such strong bonds.
There's nobody else .

nobody.
