Is it possible for a heart to die?
Not in the literal sense, but in the metaphorical way of being unable to function.
Being unable to love, to feel, to empathise.
I don't know, but for a long time already I've been feeling like my heart is dead.
Like I just can't feel that way about anyone else ever again.
My rational mind can understand and evaluate the words, yet I can't seem to feel that connection anymore.
And that's what makes a person human isn't it?
The ability to love.
